Logs/Appalachian Trail

I thought this was very cool.  If you want to read some logs from an overnight dwelling log book from along the Appalachian Trail, here they are.  Pretty cool!!!  Interesting to see different people perspective.

Backgrounds:  I have been reading a book called A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail.  The book is hilarious and also very informative though it tends to be a rant by a tree huger in a few spots.  Still a great book!  And I am not reader.  Because of this book I have been dreaming lately of hiking the AT.

This book isn't about Scouting but about an Air Force Officer who is captured over Mother Russia and escapes and survives in the wilderness for months living off the land!  It would be great if our Scouts could do this minus the Russians chasing after them!

Since I have read every Scout book out there on Teams and Troops, I think this is going to be my next book to read.  Maybe I can crack into their heads and maybe figure my boys out a little more.  My kids, I am sure, will also benefit from me figuring out their love language.  My wife and I have read the marriage version of this book and it is great.

Trails to Testimony

If you have not read this book, you need to.  This is a great book for running an LDS unit and understanding the relationship between the LDS Church and the Scouting program.  I don't make any money from the sale of this book but it is a great book!  I personally have bought two extra copies and shared those with those LDS Scouters I love.
