Leaders who think they can wing it without reading the handbook (BSA or Church) or getting trained and then think the Spirit will "teach them all things" to do in the moment they need them, don't understand the scriptures.
The ramblings of an ex BSA Varsity Team Coach on Scouting and specifically the Varsity program. My thoughts, ideas and concerns are in no way connected or shared in any form or fashion by the Boy Scouts of America or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) who volutold me to serve as a Varsity Coach. Some personal rambling too........... (I am an Assistant Scoutmaster now that the Varsity Program has been murdered........)

So true.
And then those same leaders and all involved in their units decide they don't like scouts and/or it "doesn't work."
They are also the ones that say the Church isn't going to be using Scouting soon so what is the point. Drives me Batman nuts.
Reminds me of something Elder Holland once said in relation to revelation: "In this church we don't believe in 'ex nihilo' creation (creation from nothing).
