...........poor turn out. Disappointment. Some of the distractions? Illness, XBox, after school detention, birthday parties (that I was told by their parents that they didn't need to be at), etc. People's ability to choose what is right and what "they think is right" sometimes makes mad. I take time away from my family to be there (also the ability to make money by not going to work #2). Parents have no clue how much dedication this Scout calling takes. NONE. If they did, they would respect my time.
I digress. I need a nap.
The ramblings of an ex BSA Varsity Team Coach on Scouting and specifically the Varsity program. My thoughts, ideas and concerns are in no way connected or shared in any form or fashion by the Boy Scouts of America or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) who volutold me to serve as a Varsity Coach. Some personal rambling too........... (I am an Assistant Scoutmaster now that the Varsity Program has been murdered........)
