The ramblings of an ex BSA Varsity Team Coach on Scouting and specifically the Varsity program. My thoughts, ideas and concerns are in no way connected or shared in any form or fashion by the Boy Scouts of America or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) who volutold me to serve as a Varsity Coach. Some personal rambling too........... (I am an Assistant Scoutmaster now that the Varsity Program has been murdered........)

BSA Wilderness First Aid
For one of my "tickets" for Wood Badge Staff, I am wanting to take a wilderness first aid course. I know the Red Cross does one and the BSA. Has anyone taken any of these? What did you think? Worth it?

I haven't taken one yet, although it's on my list to do this winter prior to next summer's backpacking/expedition season. I'll be interested to hear what you think of yours. I figure 2 days of outdoor first aid training can never be all that bad, especially if you choose the right training outfit.
I'm most closely looking at a course offered via NOLS through my local REI.
