This is a topic that is near and dear to my heart over at The Scoutmaster Minute.
As readers might know I have lost some weight, mostly so when I compete in Tough Mudder I don't stroke out but also for my family and lastly for my Scouts. I don't ever want to be the reason my Scouts are not able to do something. There are leaders in the local area who are some of the best men I know and can't go to summer camp or High Adventure because they are not physically fit. They send other leaders. What an injustice to the kids by not being there.
Just get fit.
The ramblings of an ex BSA Varsity Team Coach on Scouting and specifically the Varsity program. My thoughts, ideas and concerns are in no way connected or shared in any form or fashion by the Boy Scouts of America or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) who volutold me to serve as a Varsity Coach. Some personal rambling too........... (I am an Assistant Scoutmaster now that the Varsity Program has been murdered........)
