I think for the price you can't beat the REI Flash 18. It is very small and I have had to convert from sleeping bag to sheet with sleeping pad and tarp. I am going to try and and see how it goes. I will let you know!!!

New backpack
I have been doing some studying on lightweight backpacking and how I can go from a 50 - 70 pound pack to something much smaller and much, MUCH lighter. Why would a fat guy want to carry that king of weight? (Down 35# for Touch Mudder!!) Here is what I purchased...........
