Scoutmaster CG has a great article on why we do things........or why we should be doing things.
We should not be teaching merit badges on Wednesday nor should we be teaching rank advancement. Instead we teach skills and then the Scout applies the learned skills towards ranks and merit badges. It is like teaching the test in school. Ya, you pass the test but 10 seconds after the test..........POOF the knowledge is gone!!
