Scout Committee Meeting

I am at a loss as to why I have been asked to attend the last Scout Committee meeting when I am not a member AND the Scout Committee Chair didn't show up and neither did the Unit Commissioner.  The Secretary had an agenda but no decisions were made because the Scout Committee Chair (the old Scoutmaster) wasn't there.

Sorry Tory, I couldn't smile and whistle.............  I am such a hypocrite.  I guess in the end, I will keep my unit afloat whether I have the help of the Scout Committee or not.  I am just bound to burn out.  :(

At least you had a secretary with an agenda. My last "committee meeting" consisted of me and the committee chair. And the conclusion was that there wouldn't be another meeting unless (or until) I had some business to bring up.

Eric, the Bishopric did the right thing when these callings were extended for the SC. They explained the job and all........ And the old SM (now the SC Chair) complained about not having a committee while serving and now is part of the problem.

And as for future SC Meetings, I don't see the point in having them or going to them (cause I ain't a part of the SC).

The Bishopric did contact me about who could step in for the SC Chair. I told them no one. Issue the a new call or have a PPI with the current Chair.

I s'pose I may have been projecting just a bit. My SC consists of the YM Presidency and me. And a nominal Chair. I don't want to know how Boards of Review are getting accomplished with just a Chair. That's next month's training item.
